Two independent research passes on this site classified Florida differently, so no single-word label is published here. What is not disputed: Florida created an autonomous-practice registration for qualifying advanced practice nurses, and the statute limits that autonomy to primary care. Whether hormone, weight-management or peptide practice falls inside "primary care" turns on a board rule neither pass could locate. Check the individual clinician on the state portal.
The Florida Department of Health states that telehealth providers owe the same standard of care as for in-person services, and that a prior in-person examination is not required where the telehealth evaluation is sufficient to diagnose and treat. A clinician registered from outside Florida may not open a Florida office or provide in-person care in the state.
Florida has no med-spa-specific licence. A 2026 bill that would have created one died in committee. Oversight runs through general medical practice rules and, for some entities, health-care-clinic licensure.
